Got up real early today to spend the day at the beach with the girlfriend. It was a perfect day. The sun was scorching & the water was ice cold down at Barbs. After baking in the sun for a good 3 hours or so, went to eat some sushi at Genki, got a Jamba Juice, & went back home to take a power nap. Woke up & was stoked to see Rootikal Riddim tonight.
Rootikal Riddim...watching them tonight at Tropics was another night well spent. They give out good vibes, man. They keep it to the roots & keep you moving. Just trippin' out listening to the lyrics & the dubbed out sounds. There wasn't a big crowd tonight, but I was feeling it. Chilling up stairs, to see Chayne skankin' in front of the band by himself, that alone sent out vibes. Waiting for the band to start playing, I ended up chipping in for some ono grinds. I wasn't sure if I wanted to chip in because I knew once they started playing, I'd be stuck downstairs just vibing. I ended up getting a little bit of the fries, but I didn't mind. It was worth it. Overall, today was a well spent day for the summer. Chill at the beach in the day, vibe to good live music in the night.
