"Happiness only real when shared."
“…and I also know how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong, but to feel strong, to measure yourself at least once, to find yourself in the most ancient of human conditions, facing the blind deaf stone alone, with nothing to help you but your hands and your own head.”
I just got this movie in today from Netflix & the girlfriend & I just finished watching it about an hour ago. It's almost 3 hours long, but I have to say, it was a pretty good movie. It was different. It was kind of slow, but you'll get into it just because there's interesting messages in it. A lot of things to learn as you watch, or to make you realize things even. It's about a guy who was living a normal life, graduated from college, had parents that cared about him, a roof over his head, food, everything. But he didn't want anything to do with all the materialistic things in life or society. He burns all his money, burns his IDs, credit cards, & social security card, abandons his car, disappears from his family. He left everything to live out in the wild. In a few scenes, I was just thinking to myself that he really is just living. It was awesome. He meets people along the way & teaches them things, gives them life changing explanations to why he's doing what he's doing. It's kind of amazing. I just wish I could do that sometimes. I'm not going to lie, I had my moments where I know I'm just living. It's one of the greatest feelings in the world. So free & content & just being one with your own being. Man...
I definitely have to check out the book now.
I really don't want to spoil anything else for any Readers out there reading this. It's an awesome movie if you're into life & figuring things out for yourself, etc.
Chayne, if you're reading this, you have to check this movie out! Thought about you the whole time I was watching it, man.
