Guardians of Being

The best is when you go into a bookstore with your friends & read interesting books. It's extra sick when you pick up a random book based on it's cover, size/shape of the book, color of the book, the title, etc. Last night, I picked up this book, Guardians of Being, based off the shape of the book. Turns out, this book was trippy. I read it from front to back & it was pretty life changing. This book relates human beings to nature & animals. It tells us how a dog really thinks/feels & how dogs teach us humans how to live & be one with ourselves & to live in the moment. It tells us what we find so fascinating in a dog or in any animal for that matter...& it's their esscence. We find that fascinating because their Being is not covered up by the mind like us human beings. Dogs are our Guardians in life, & we don't really take the time to notice it. The book states that when you see a dog play, bark, or wag it's tail, you get a feeling of calmness & satisfication in yourself because the dog is enjoying it's life. That's how we all should live. One part I thought was pretty trippy was when I read that every rock, tree, or plant teaches us how to be still & to be one with ourselves & how we all should listen to the little sounds nature makes because Nature is teaching us something. Or how we all should love & find love in things so we can no longer suffer on ourselves...something like that. The next time I have money to spend, I want this book. It's something cool to have lying around & it'll always be there.

We have no life. We ARE life.
