Soon To Be...

...inked into my chest. Been thinking about a little chest piece for quite some time now. Gave up, & just got back on it recently. I finally came up with a few that I can settle down with. I'm leaning more towards the design with the sparrows.

"One Love One Heart." I just love the ring to that. All I think of when I see "One Love One Heart," is Life. That's it. Everything fits into it. Family, friends, my perception of life & things in it, making sure I put all my heart into something, the future & what it holds, anything. I thought of sparrows, not only because they look sick on a chest piece, but what they symbolize. Sparrows symbolize finding your true love. To me, that could mean a someone out there, or finding my true love in life, or happiness. A lot of people have sparrows tattooed on them to drive out the evil spirits within themselves. Sailors got sparrows tattooed on them because it meant they would have a safe journey & a safe return. I like that the best. Sparrows can also mean eternity & luck. Sparrows are known to travel long distances, but they always return home. Why? Because Home Is Where The Heart Is! For sure. I love home (Hawaii). I love being here. A lot of people ask me why I want to stay here the rest of my life, and I always say "...because I love it here." 'Nuff said. Another cool thing about sparrows is that they take a part in the Gospel of Matthew. There's a lot of meaning to this tattoo & I was pretty dedicated to it. Unlike my first tattoo, I put months of thought into this one & I'm stoked. Sparrows can be a bit cliche', but I'm not pleasing anybody but myself.
